Simple Outfit From Inexpensive Stores

Hello!!

This is a simple outfit that I've put together. I was running some errands yesterday: went to the library, Target, Marshall's, and some furniture stores. Normally, I would throw on a t-shirt and jeans, not really caring about what I'm wearing but I felt like dressing up a little. Also, I'm by no means an expert but I'm just experimenting with the clothes I have.

This outfit is cute, simple, easy to move around in, but still makes it look like you really put thought into it. I love the idea of taking something so simple and making it look like a statement.

Bottom: H&M
I feel like you can make a statement with anything: a bold color, a piece of jewelry (necklace, earrings, bracelets etc.), shoes, or maybe an interesting design/print. With this outfit I feel like my statement is a couple of small things that really make it complete. I have the bar pendant necklace, the ripped jeans, and the black and white combination.

Necklace: Forever 21

I got the necklace from Forever 21 for less than $5 (most of my clothes are from Forever 21). The shirt I got from Michael's (the arts and crafts store) for about $5. My friends and I went to a glow-paint event and I needed a shirt to get messy, but in the end I was the one who didn't get any paint on their shirt so this shirt is now part of my closet. Also, fun fact, I had my friend cut the neckline to give it more character :) I thought it would look cool (it probably doesn't). And my jeans I got from H&M, which was on sale for $15. I literally love these jeans. I wear them all the time! They are so cute and they work for any season.

I hope this was inspiring/interesting. What do you wear when you run errands? What are your statement pieces?
